Trumpeter J-20
Simple kit with good detail and excellent fit (except the canopy frame). I was very happy with this kit from Trumpeter. PE parts are provided ... I used only those for the cockpit seat as the rest are too small for me to care too much about. Landing gear wells very good detail. No weapons or open bay doors. I deviated from the recommended paint scheme of this early aircraft (all black) and went with a dark grey on medium grey scheme that looks really good. My only gripe on this kit was at the very end when I assembled the clear canopy to the frame. The frame had a curvature in it that did not match the clear plastic. That took a bit of patience to fix. If you want to assemble canopy closed, install the frame to fuselage before installing the cockpit. The will ensure the console does not interfere with the frame later on. I had a slight interference resulting in finishing the kit with open canopy for this reason. Other than the canopy, this kit was fun to put together.
