Excellent kit
Not for the beginner, but also a very well thought out and fun to build kit for someone who has built plastic models before. I've been working on mine for about 9 months and plan to complete the build in about 3 months. Kit contains a good amount of photo etched brass. I'm not a fan of photo etched stairs so I used N-scale stairs and glued the PE railings on. They are close enough for me, but if you are a rivet counter that probably won't work for you. I also drilled out the portholes and ran fiber optic cable to each as I planned to use the LED lighting kit that comes with the kit. I didn't use the LED lights per the instructions, but it looks really cool all lit up and the fiber optic port holes really add to the model in my opinion. I did not like how the superstructure fit on the hull, and this would probably be my only complaint to an otherwise wonderful build, but unless you can figure out a way to keep it square while you build it, fitting it to the hull can be challenging. I'm going to try and upload some photos of the build so far and also the finished model in a few months. Hope you give this kit a try and have fun with your build!
Excellent kit quality
I am very impressed by the quality of this kit. The molding, packaging, instructions...all are top notch. On first glance, Trumpeter really hit the mark with the Titanic. As I get into the build, I will update the review.
