Reviews : Trumpeter HMS Type 45 British Destroyer

An excellent kit out of the box! This kit can be upgraded with the Tetra Model Works photo-etched brass set and with Veteran Model's guns. The build was straightforward, but I recommend adding the superstructure parts to the hull before adding the detail parts. The instructions would have you build out all of the superstructure components and then add them to the hull; this is asking for trouble in filling gaps.

The Type 45 Destroyer is another fine kit from Trumpeter. Excellent detailing of the hull and vertical surfaces. The PE parts are very good as well. You better have great eyes or a great magnifier when working with some of the smaller parts though.
