RN Zara
Here we have another ship by Trumpeter, the first impression out of the box is good, she is well detailed and another outstanding release from Trumpeter. There are a few little things though!
On the box art it shows an enclosed area above the bridge, doing research on the ship before I began working on this kit indicates that is correct The Zara did have that enclosed section it’s just one of the differences that sets her apart from her sisters, but unfortunately this is not included in the kit, so for those of us that like some accuracy scratch build will be required.
The second part is more of a wish on my part, these ships are unique in that they have an aircraft hanger below the deck on the bow, I wish trumpeter would have given us an option to included it, so some more scratch building was required for that.
As for the rest of the kit she is a good build with lots of detail and I do recommend the photo etch detail kit with this.
