This product makes changing elevation on your layout a snap--no math. The accordion structures permits you to bend the incline on any radius on your layout. The transition from level to up- or down-grade is smooth and will not cause uncoupling problems. Should you only wish to raise the elevation 2 instead of the 4 this set allows, you can use the remaining 2' lengths to create a cut effect by placing them along side the shorter pieces. Use Woodland Scenics ST1409 4 risers to connect two sets of 4 inclines and there will be a smooth transition from incline to level. There will be no uncoupling because there will be no hump. NOTE: Each set of ST1411 inclines/decline contains ONLY 1 incline OR decline.

This a very easy and useful tool in the planning of your layout. The sections are sturdy and easy to form to the track's path. I used 1 finishing nails at 45 degrees to hold them in place to my plywood. I liked the fact that it gives me the ability of 1, 2, 3 and 4 rise options. This allows flexibility in the design. I would suggest that unless you have a hard and fast layout in mind, use these to help plan the layout. I changed mine around 4 times before settling on one. Have fun, I did.

I saw these being used on youtube so I thought Id give them a go. After receiving these I think I could have done without them. Yes they are very accurate and helped a great deal for the incline, very light and easy to work with, but if you enjoy digging in and getting hand on with your layout this is not for you as it has taken all the fun out of figuring things out.

For anyone who has fashioned a grade using the old techniques, the product is a godsend. No more cutting wood blocks, measuring angles and trying to get the grade right. This product is easily curved to fit and the grade is already incorporated.

This one product can change how you think about model railroading. It takes the frustration and time of trying to measure and cut in lines/declines away and makes it easy to include them. Have used these many times through the years!

This was received in perfect condition. I am excited to try it it. My early dry set of this incline set shows a great tool to get your trains up into a mountain area

I am new to the whole layout process so really appreciate any product that makes it easier and more fun. The incline/decline sets are super to work with.
