Mod-U-Rail Corner Kit
This is a very handy kit, even without the Corner Module Kit Stand (although I would certainly recommend purchasing that as well if your approach to layout-building is modular). It may seem a bit pricey for what is essentially a variety of foams, ground covers, and plaster cloth, but in my experience you will probably spend an equivalent sum of money buying these items separately. At least with this kit you will know what you need to stockpile for further additions. I only have two complaints. The first is that the base of the module is a rather thin piece of foam board. It is a fairly sturdy piece of foam board, mind you, but depending on how heavy this section of your layout will be, you may want to reconsider the material you use for your base and use the foam for scraps. My second grievance is that you will need a decent selection of modeling tools at your disposal in order to complete the basic building steps. At least a low temp glue gun, foam nails, and hot wire foam cutter. I would recommend reading the instruction manual on woodland scenics' product page when determining what you need in advance.
