Difficult assembly
Kit had a warped base. Contacted Walthers and they supplied at NC a new base (great CS). Kit is difficult to assemble with many parts which must be trimmed to fit and are difficult to position properly. The chain link supplied fence is a nightmare to put together properly requiring a complete buildup. Especially difficult are the upper and lower rails which must be glued to the fence posts (those in the kit were not straight) prior to applying the mesh. Gates are difficult to attach properly and must be positioned either open or closed.
Excellent Kit
This is an excellent kit. It is a good addition to the Northern Light and Power House. The pieces are nicely molded and there is very little clean up. The kit comes with a base, but it is not needed depending on the size of the space that you are trying to fill. The chain link fence that comes with the kit can be tricky to put together.

I was doing good until I got to the fence! The posts should be more defined and the fence rails should have been made out of something more ridged. I couldn't keep them straight! Otherwise, I liked it. I had a lot of trouble building the fence I would buy it again
Very realistic looking substation
Lots of parts but instructions are simple and very easy to follow.
Great kit but fragle.
Nice detail but easy to break. take your time with this kits.
