This Walthers Trainline GP15-1 ran 20' and stopped. I checked lube (which Walthers always lubes locomotive before shipping) and added light oil at 6 places recommended in instructions. Then tested again and motor ran perfectly. Did the normal fast-slow and forward-reverse at different speeds and stopping often. This allows for proper motor seating of brushes. Ran perfect...
This is a good solid locomotive and I'm happy to have it in my fleet.
