Got these (combined with a new steel handle) on a whim because I needed a new handle and had a coupon at a local store. Figured I'd give them a try and see if they were any better than the standard blades and I was thoroughly impressed. They are lasting about 3-4 times longer than the standard blades and only %25 more money, they are well worth the extra cost. Give them a try and you'll find yourself only buying these from now on.

This blade worked wonderfully well for me. It lasted over a couple years and was still sharp when the tip finally snapped off due to stress. I'd certainly recommend these to any modeler (but with the advisory to be gentle with the tip.) I'd also recommend the cheaper #11 model blade too, as it seems to work just as well.

I've been using X-ACTO blades for a very long time and have found any type to be exceptional in any need. These are the best for cutting out around decals as the blades are so fine they won't tear the decal paper. I highly recommend any blade for novice to experienced modeler or artist in any hobby.

These are the best #11 blades I’ve ever used. Tips do not snap the first time you use them. Edge retains sharpness for a decent amount of time.
