I've always thought a pair of scissors, a pair of nail clippers, and a hobby knife were all the tools I needed to model plastic. Wow, was I mistaken. I bought this sprue cutter some months ago. Since I've used this tool I've gotten much cleaner cuts and spent less time filing nubs. This sprue cutter is a solid piece of equipment. It has a rubbery, plasticky grip and is big enough to feel right in a large hand. It is spring-loaded so after cutting it reopens its jaws on its own. On top of these features, it is inexpensive. I have nothing negative to say about this sprue cutter. I highly recommend this item.

I have in the past used just a set of side cutters made for metal, these have worked however were not great. Buying these was the first step I took getting back into models. The quality is great! High quality materials, tight fits, and is comfortable in the hand. The cut is smooth and precise and the tip is small enough to get right next to the part. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars is that there is no way to get perfectly flush cuts with this model. They get surprisingly close but not flush. I love them! I look forward to the next few years of using them!

I've used Xuron sprue cutter for 7 years . They are good quality USA made sturdy and well made cutting tool and is a must for any modeler and it sure beats using toe nail and finger nail clippers which do work but side cutters are the way to go so this tool comes in handy for all models if your starting out in the modeling you'll need to buy these cutters you wont be sorry that you did .

When I recently started back scale modeling I made the mistake of going to a local chain hobby store to buy what I needed to get started. I'm now replaceing the low quality tools with tools from Hobbylinc. It's so nice to have good tools and supplies. I enjoying cutting the sprue now.

Can't say enough about the quality of these Sprue cutters. They make the job more fun and efficient. and the cuts are very close and smooth. Get a pair soon!

I don't know why I never used these before, these are great. They cut exceptionally well and extremely close with very little sanding required.

Just recieved these cutters and work great. Clean cuts and super close fo the edge. Recommend very highly.
