Product Details

This 3/4 size coupler has an extended Trip Pin mounted on a narrow gauge coupler to use with light duty old time equipment. The #711 & #712 works with Kadee's full size HO-Scale Couplers. With this smaller coupler, gathering will not be as great nor can they bear the same loads as Kadee's HO Couplers. They should easily handle loads common to the pre-1900 era.

Second choice coupler

My current standard coupler is the Kadee #151 (see review), but the #711 and 712 were my former standard. They aren't hard to assemble using the Kadee #701 assembly jig and spring pick, but you'll want both. ACC the covers together and the rest is easy to mount. They have a very small box, and thus will fit on many steam loco pilot beams with minimal surgery.
