The 'Queen Elizabeth' was 1 of a series of dreadnought-type battleships built in the early part of the 20th century for the Royal Navy. This kit depicts her as she looked at the end of World War 1. It was a remarkably easy kit to assemble; I was surprised at how well it came together. There are some extremely small parts but nothing a set of small tweezers can't handle. The only problem I had was when trying to handle some photo-etched parts; as I cut 1 piece loose from the mold it became bent quite easily and was rendered useless, despite my attempts to repair it. That 1 small problem did not spoil the kit as a whole though and I am quite happy with the result. Recommended for those building an Allied/Royal Navy collection.

Good historical example of a WW1 British super-dreadnought. This ship class defined battleship at the time with armament and speed. This model is a nice addition to any display fleet.

Enjoyed building this one, even though has some PE parts, but not too many. Since the main turrets don't have a holding pin to set them up for swiveling, I just glued them in place so they would not fall off. Had some problem with the fit of the gun deck over the secondary guns though, but was able to overcome that small build. Painted the ship in a light ocean gray color and ended up attaching to a base for water effects, added smoke from funnels by using stuffing from a dog chew toy as the consistency was perfect and spray painted in a flat-lightly black and glued to funnel tops.
