First impression: Wow This is a monster kit. The detail and casting of the parts is beautiful and the photos & historical info. in the provided booklet is a nice touch. The instructions and illustrations are large and easily interpreted however paint color call-outs are limited to major components and the smaller items will require a bit of research to determine the appropriate colors. Also, the kit is designed on the basis of one particular boat in this class and the kit components including decals and other gun and deck components are referenced to this boat at a particular time in history. If you wish to model a different MTB you may need to do some additional research and purchase aftermarket parts. But the kit is fabulous as is.
